 President: Police Should Respect People

TEHRAN (IRNA) – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that police forces should uphold the dignity of people and respect them while carrying out their duties.
Addressing police commanders, he said the efforts of the police force without people's cooperation would never bear fruits.
The president highlighted the significant achievements and performance of the police force in the country, who spare no efforts to carry out their duties.
"The administration of a country engaged in a fierce battle with global arrogance is not an easy task," he said, adding that "maintaining unity would help us attain such a significant goal".
High morale and spirit of the police forces helped them set a successful record over the past 33 years, said the president.
President Ahmadinejad thanked the police force for their services to the nation and expressed his satisfaction to this effect.
