Zionists' Problem One of Legitimacy

TEHRAN, July 4 (Press TV) - Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has said that the problem of the Zionist regime is presently its suffering from lack of legitimacy.
Speaking at a ceremony for an Iranian diplomat disappeared in Lebanon in the early 1980s he said, "The Zionist regime is a trouble-maker in the region. As a result, the Middle East has not witnessed peace and tranquility over several decades," Larijani added.
He stated that Israel has always failed to find a pretext to justify its legitimacy.
"The Zionist regime is a supporter of apartheid. The dominant paradigm among international public opinion is that racism is doomed. Hence, Israel which is formed on the basis of the superiority of Jews over other races, is why the people of the world reject it," Larijani said.
Pointing to the Zionists, Larijani said, "You have problem with yourselves and you shouldn't look for an enemy from outside."
He noted that if the Islamic Republic of Iran is against the Zionist regime it is because of the issue of legitimacy.

Mottaki Condemns UK Support for Terrorism

TEHRAN, July 4 (Press TV) - Iran's Foreign Minister suggests that Britain has become a partner in MKO crimes by lifting its ban on the terrorist group.
"[We will consider] any country that removes the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) from its blacklist of terrorist groups as a partner in its terrorist activities," said Manouchehr Mottaki in New York.
He urged all countries to condemn terrorism in all forms without discrimination, adding that the MKO is the most disreputable group in the eyes of the Iranians.
A British court ruling last month ordered the reversal of the seven-year-old UK ban on the terrorist organization. The move was supported by London lawmakers.
The action will allow the MKO to operate more openly and raise funds in Britain, although its assets would be subject to seizure in other EU member nations.
The MKO, blacklisted as a terrorist group by many countries and international organizations including the US, has claimed responsibility for many terror attacks inside Iran.
Members of the terrorist group have also assisted former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in the massacre of thousands of Iraqi civilians and were transferred to a camp in northeastern Baghdad where they enjoy US protection.

Muslim Solidarity
Mottaki on Thursday urged Muslim states to maintain solidarity in facing challenges targeting the world of Islam.
"Over recent years, Islamic values have been subject to strong attacks, all which being based on especial motivations or wrong attitudes towards Islamic injunctions. The scope of the attacks has become so extensive to include insult to Holy Quran and the Holly Prophet (of Islam)," said Mottaki in a meeting with ambassadors of 57 Muslim states in the UN.
"That's (insult to sanctities) can not be tolerated by Muslim Ummah and Muslim states should close their ranks and get further united against such threats," he said.
Meanwhile, Mottaki said Iran is the sole Muslim state from Asia to run candidacy for a seat in the UN Security Council this year, so Muslim states are invited to support the bid.
Meanwhile, Mottaki said that the kidnapping of four Iranian diplomats in Lebanon is a dark stain in record of the terrorist groups being affiliated to the Zionist regime of Israel.
He said Iran's diplomatic apparatus has during long years of the diplomats' captivity launched extensive efforts both in the region, especially in Lebanon, and the UN for their release and the efforts will continue until receiving a report about them.
Condemning such an "organized" measure of the Zionist Regime, Mottaki said different human rights organizations, the Non-Governmental Organizations and the media following up the Middle East issues are hoped to follow up the issue and obtain an information about the Iranians.
Mottaki made the remarks on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of abduction of the four diplomats, including Iranian then Charge D'affaires Mohsen Mousavi, Diplomat Taghi Rastegar Moqaddam, Military Attache' Ahmad Motevasselian and IRNA Photo Journalist Kazem Akhavan.
According to information, the diplomats are in custody of the usurper regime in Palestinian occupied lands.
Mottaki was in New York to attend the high-level meeting of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) which would end on July 3.

Anybody following them will be victorious and in the right path, while those opposing them will be in the camp of `Satans,'" said President Ahmadinejad in an address to a ceremony held in commemoration of Ahmad Motevasselian, one of the four diplomats kidnapped in Lebanon 26 years ago.

'We Have to Deal With West Logically'

TEHRAN, July 4 (Press TV) - Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council says Tehran should deal with the package of incentives proposed by world powers in a logical way.

OIC Warns Against Attack on Iran

TEHRAN, July 4 (Press TV) - Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) strongly warns against any sort of military attack against Iran.
In an interview with the Saudi Arabian newspaper Okaz, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu stressed the right of every Islamic country to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and said the OIC's stance toward Iran's nuclear program is clear.
He also criticized the double standards employed by the world's super powers against the nuclear activities of Islamic and Arab countries whilst ignoring the nuclear arsenals of the Zionist regime.

Iran to NAM: Establish Independent Media

TEHRAN, July 4 (Press TV) - Iran calls for the establishment of an international news network, saying the world needs an alternative to the mainstream media.
"World powers, especially America, now have a stranglehold on world media; they direct news and provide information to push their own interests," said Iranian Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Press Affairs Ali-Reza Malekian.
"They refrain from publishing certain information about developing countries and sometimes propagate fabricated news," he told a conference of Non-Aligned Movement communication ministers in Venezuela.
Malekian urged NAM member states to jointly found a news network that would provide alternative news in various languages.
The Non-Aligned Movement is an international organization of states considering themselves not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc.
